Heating in the living room

Use in residential areas

Space-heating storage heaters are ideal as a complement or replacement for central heating at home. Whether you want to make rooms available without heating radiators connected to the heating system, or need to bridge a central heating failure, the electric heater is a sensible option. In times of rising gas and oil prices, space-heating storage units also offer a viable alternative to conventional fossil-fuel heating. Especially if you have your own photovoltaic system, using the electricity generated locally is often more economical than feeding the energy into the grid.

Electric underfloor heating systems can also be a useful option for retrofitting old buildings. Old houses without basements often do not have the necessary space to install a new heating system. The additional cost of installing water and heating pipes in the individual living spaces makes the installation less attractive. At the same time, wood or pellet stoves, which are often advertised as an alternative to the heating system, are inflexible and difficult to use.

Electric heating elements with a cast iron core, on the other hand, offer easily controllable temperatures and pleasant warmth. There is also no need to have the chimney sweep reduce the electric heating. The retrofitting of roof windows or other building components is also becoming increasingly popular. Not least, in cases where heritage protection is a factor, the renovation through the use of modern electric space heating systems is often even possible at all. All that is required is to install the wiring, and there is no need for a costly connection to the heating system.

Surface storage heaters like the AeroFlow® models from Thermotec are also mobile and therefore even more flexible to use. This is particularly interesting if you want to use the heater only temporarily to replace or supplement a conventional heating system. Using separately available travel pads, you can easily move the radiators from room to room. This allows you to heat different rooms with one heater, right where you need the heat.

Additionally, AeroFlow® users benefit from the ability to control the radiant floor heating via an app. This works via smartphone or tablet even while on the go. With the app, you can turn on the radiators even before you arrive home. The FlexiComfortApp also allows you to define different temperature zones in the house or apartment. This allows you to customize the room climate to suit your daily routine and needs.

Use in bathrooms

Pleasant warmth at the right times

In times of rising energy prices, it is only to a limited extent sensible to keep rooms like the bathroom heated permanently. Most people find it important to be able to regulate the bathroom comfortably so that they do not have to get out of the shower in the winter due to the icy cold. However, during the rest of the day, heating the room is not necessary. Temperatures below the freezing point should be avoided to prevent damage to the water pipes. But conventional heating systems are often inflexible in this regard. Central heating systems in rental apartments are often turned down during the night, making it impossible to warm the bathroom comfortably in the early morning hours. Even in single-family homes, it is often not customary to run the heating system at full power at night.

Electric surface storage heaters like the AeroFlow® from Thermotec are a sensible option for quickly heating up the bathroom. Optionally, you can get a practical towel holder with our high-quality radiators to comfortably warm a towel. The SLIM-TALL version of the AeroFlow® electric heaters easily fits even in smaller bathrooms. With a width of just 38 centimeters, the heater can also be installed on short walls. Thanks to its height, it still offers enough space to reliably heat the room.

With the smart thermostat, the surface storage heaters from Thermotec can be configured very precisely. For example, you can set the heating to turn on at the same time every morning. It is also possible to configure the heating depending on the day of the week. This way, you can start the day in a warm and pleasant bathroom.

Additionally, a minimum temperature can be configured on the thermostat. This ensures that the heater remains high enough to prevent mold growth or even frost in case of emergency. Additionally, there is the option to control the thermostat via an app. This allows you to turn on the heating in the bathroom while you are already on the go, for example when you are exercising outdoors in the winter. Upon returning home, nothing will stand in the way of a relaxing shower.

By the way: A cost-effective alternative to space-saving heating in the bathroom can be our bathroom heaters with KTX heating cartridges. The electrically controlled towel heaters, which are controlled by a microprocessor, can be quickly heated and thus provide instant warmth in the bathroom.

Available in three color variants and with a modern design, the heaters, which are available in two sizes, also look great. Like our AeroFlow® heaters, you can configure the desired temperature directly on the device for the hand towel heaters.

Effective heat for individual needs

For rooms that are not used permanently, surface storage heaters are the ideal heating system. Their low purchase and installation costs make it possible to make the use of certain areas and rooms even more meaningful during the colder seasons.

Garden sheds and hobby rooms, for example, are often not connected to the central heating system. In winter, they are often too cold and inhospitable to be actively used. With an electric space heater, you can targetly heat the rooms when you need it. For example, when you plan a party, this is ideal. In a short time, you can bring the room in the garden shed to temperature. This is economical and gives you the necessary space to develop in more diverse ways.

Surface storage heaters can also serve as frost guards. This is particularly relevant in a garden shed or conservatory, where cold-sensitive plants are often stored during the colder months. The AeroFlow® surface storage heaters offered by Thermotec can be configured using a thermostat to maintain the temperature at a stable level above the freezing point. Thanks to the ability to switch the heating on and off in timed increments, you also have the option to heat the relevant rooms as needed. This means that having breakfast in the conservatory is no longer a problem, even without having to get out of bed half an hour early.

If you call a holiday home your own, an electric underfloor storage heater can also be a sensible option. Especially in homes that are often empty for days or weeks, installing a larger heating system often isn’t worthwhile. On the other hand, electric underfloor storage heaters offer an economical option that can quickly bring the house to a comfortable warmth even in winter. Electric radiators play a role as frost guards and ensure that water pipes do not freeze at very low temperatures. With a separately available internet module, you can connect the heaters to your router. After that, you can configure, program, and adjust the heating power remotely via the app. Additionally, you can keep an eye on the app to see if the room temperature in your holiday home is staying at a stable level. If necessary, you can then intervene or ask a neighbor to look after the house properly.
